These chambers are German made and thoroughly tested by the manufacturer. For an additional fee - and about 2 months lead time, we can supply gauged counting cells that have been certified by the German State Authority.

Helber Bacteria chamber - A one piece chamber with Thoma ruling on a single round plateau. The Helber Chamber is used for bacteria and sperm counting. Cell Depth is 0.02mm ± 1% (1/50mm). Volume of 1mm2: 0.02µL. BS748.

Malassez - This is a 2 cell counting chamber for haemacytes and leucocytes with a Malassez ruling 1/400mm2. Cell depth 0.2mm ± 1% (1/20mm). Volume of 1mm2: 0.2µL. Complete with 1 pair of cover glasses. This chamber is rhodium coated. Rectangular ruling covering an area of 5mm². Large rectangles measure 0.25 x 0.20mm (= 0.05mm²). They are each divided into 20 squares with an area of 0.0025mm².
Thoma-new - The small squares in the central large square measure 0.0025mm². As in the Thoma chamber the outer large squares are not completed. This chamber is used for counting thrombocytes and erythrocytes.
Nageotte - A two cell chamber for low leucocyte concentrations below the capabilities of a standard Haemacytometer. 40 rectangular areas in 0.25mm spaced vertical lines. The Nageotte can accurately measure down to 0.1 cell/mL (100 cell/mL). Cell Depth is 0.5mm ± 1% (1/2mm). Total Volume of 1mm2 of the grid is 0.5µL. This chamber is rhodium coated.

COUNTING CHAMBERS, DOUBLE NET BRIGHT-LINED
As above counting chambers, but available with brightlines. These lines have a semi transparent metal coating, which makes these particularly useful under low contrast conditions.

HAEMACYTOMETER/ COUNTING CHAMBER COVERGLASS
These glasses are thicker than standard coverglass to make them less flexible. They have also been flattened and polished to minimise variation that could change the depths of the counting chamber and affect accuracy of cell counts.

McMASTER EGG COUNTING CHAMBER, 2 CELL - SVZ11000
Technical note
The McMaster egg counting chamber is used for determining fecal egg counts, which is a useful indicator of an animal's health. The slide is of all glass construction with the top covers affixed to the lower slide. Each of the two chambers has a 10mm x 10mm grid which is permanently etched on the under side of the top cover. Supplied complete with plain coverglass. Instructions included. BS748.

S60 HOWARD CELL & K20 COVERGLASS - SV8060 & SV8020
The Howard cell, a 76mm x 35mm glass slide with a central circular island, is used for counting mould fibres and spores in fruit juices, especially from tomatoes. With the K20 coverglass in place a 0.1mm thickness of liquid is contained over the central island.
The coverglass has 25 calibrated fields of 1.382mm diameter through which to view the particles. This coverglass removes the necessity of precise adjustment of the microscope and eyepiece graticule in the original Howard method.

FERTILITY SEMEN COUNTING CHAMBER - SVZ3BC1B
Fertility semen counting chamber specifically designed for the counting of semen. A cell depth of 0.01mm is combined with a bright-line ruled 1mm square grid, divided into 100 equal squares. BS748.
Use: Semen counts

DUNN CHEMOTAXIS CHAMBER - SVDCC100
Technical note
The Dunn chamber is a special single round cell chambered slide. Cells are cultured on coverglass which is then inverted onto the slide. Cells resting over the annular bridge of the chamber can be observed under phase-contrast optics and their migration tracks are recorded automatically by time-lapse frame grabbing. Slide thickness 1mm, Dunn system, complete with 2 pieces of coverglass. BS748.Maybe autoclaved.

SEDGEWICK RAFTER COUNTING CELLS
These are used to count the number of cells, particles, or small organisms contained in a specified volume of fluid. Coverglass for cells is included.

• S50 Sedgewick Rafter; the cell is a transparent plastic slide with a central cell of 50 x 20mm and 1mm depth.
  The base is ruled in a 1mm grid pattern; therefore each square contains one micro-litre. Useful in water and particle analysis, culture inspection and control in biology.
  
• S52 Glass Sedgewick Rafter Cell has the same ruling and sizes as the S50 above but it is made from glass with a chromium surface image. This is particularly useful when using phase contrast.
