| THIN FILM GOLD FOIL APERTURES Especially suitable for the objective, these half-micron thin apertures are self cleaning and contamination resistant. They have a long operating life with negligible astigmatism. 2mm or 3mm available from stock, with hole sizes 15 to 400µm. | APERTURE FLAMER For holding platinum aperture discs or strips during heat cleaning. Discs apertures to 3mm can be cleaned in the smaller flamer within a 4.6mm diameter Pt cup. The larger flamer has a flat platinum pan design and apertures up to 13mm can be cleaned with it. In both designs the cup/pan is attached by a platinum wire to a heat-resistant handle. Cup and pan are made of 0.15mm Pt foil and have a 0.8mm hole to aid air flow. For heat cleaning aperture strips, hang on the hook provided with both styles of flamers. Pre-clean apertures in solvent (chloroform). Heat, preferably over spirit burner or low bunsen's, blue flame for a few seconds. Heat and resistant contaminants eventually destroy apertures. Note: tantalum and molybdenum apertures must be cleaned in a vacuum coater. For this : Support the aperture in a tantalum or molybdenum "boat". Heat for 5 minutes at a dull red. Cool well before venting the bell jar. User Notes MT069Aperture flamer, 4.6mm diam cupAUD804.00 stock? MT070Aperture flamer for large aperturesAUD482.00 stock? |
