| MAGNETIC STIRRER HOTPLATE FEATURES Heavy gauge mild steel body finished with polyester powder coating for durability. Solid aluminium hotplate combined with kaowool glassfibre insulation give rapid heatup, good temperature control, and minimal temperature variation or fluctuation. Stainless steel baffle and air space maintains body at a safe handling temperature. The element is an incalloy type for easy replacement. Heating is controlled by a simmerstat with 0-10 knob for easy setting. Temperature range is from 50°C to 300°C. Temperature will drop slightly with stirrer on, and is dependent on load. Available in two sizes: EMSH200: 200 x 200mm EMSH300: 300 x 300mm Choice of heavy duty/low speed stirrer (approximately 800 rpm) or light duty/high speed stirrer (approximately 2000 rpm). Maximum speed is dependent on follower size, fluid viscosity and volume. SPECIFICATIONS EMSH200: 1000 W, 240 V, 50 Hz, 2000 rpm EMSH300: 1800 W, 240 V, 50 Hz, 800 rpm OPTIONS Teflon Coated Hotplate Thermostat Control Light Duty/High Speed Stirrer (standard on EMSH200) Heavy Duty/Low Speed Stirrer (standard on EMSH300) EXTERNAL PROBE These stirrer hotplates are also available with external probe. Heating is controlled by a digital PID controller with external sensor probe for accurate control of liquid temperature. Temperature range is from ambient to 300°C. Stirring action is not affected by the probe as it is only 1.5mm in diameter. An overtemp cutout restricts the maximum surface temperature of the hotplate to approx. 350°C. This will protect the unit from overheating in the event of the sensor not being positioned correctly. Digital PID with an external probe is the most accurate means of measuring and controlling temperatures on a hotplate to better than 1 degree C. It is also most expensive. IR Thermometers (page E3) are an effective alternative. They are only a slightly less accurate means to determine uniformity and precise temperature on a hotplate. Adjustments can then be made using the standard high quality thermostat control. EMSH200Magnetic stirrer hotplate, 200 x 200mmAUD649.00 stock? | R2 ROTARY MIXER Low speed mixer for EM preparations. The slow rotational speed of the R2 lends itself to EM tissue processing techniques. Slow rotation is recommended for processing specimens and leads to more complete infiltration without air mixing, giving improved results for tissue preparations. The R2 has rubber cushioned feet on the bottom as well as on the back so it may be placed on either of two angles, 35° from horizontal when placed on the "bottom feet" and 55° from horizontal when placed on the "back feet". A high torque motor maintains constant speed at full load. Variable speed is easily set with a rotary control. Rotational speed is 0.5 - 7.5 RPM. The R2 has been tested under heavy load conditions to assure reliability. A black-anodised head (E1051) with 18 holes for bottles or vials up to 30mm in diameter comes with the R2. A head with 31 x 16.3mm holes is also available (E1054).
